In the previous webinar, Jasmin Karger, Formlabs Jewelry Vertical Manager, talked about certain features in a design and how they can increase the failure rate when casting resin. She showed how to optimize these designs to achieve better casting results.

Jasmin Karger

Jewelry Vertical Manager

Jasmin Karger was trained as a traditional Goldsmith in Germany and has been working as a designer, goldsmith and educator for over 14 years. In 2003 she relocated to London being attracted by the vibrant design scene and England’s rich jewelry history. It was here where she had the opportunity to work for well-known contemporary jewelry artists who opened up a whole new perspective on design and craftsmanship. Her design and craft skills got quickly recognized and Jasmin became involved in developing collections for the retail market. She was awarded in 2008, 2010 and 2012 by the Goldsmiths' Company for her unusual designs and knowledge of new technology. Between 2007 and 2013 she had been teaching Jewellery Design and CAD/CAM internationally for the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). Jasmin joined Formlabs Berlin as a jewelry expert in 2017.
