3D Printing is completely changing how we practice dentistry and has become a powerful solution for implantology. The use of surgical guides, whether for pilot drill, partial or fully guided procedures, has been increasing exponentially as it allows dental professionals to accurately and efficiently place dental implants. A surgical guide helps improve all aspects of implant treatment by utilizing a restorative-driven workflow. Thanks to new and easy-to-use technologies and materials becoming available, making a surgical guide in-house is easier than ever before. The possibilities of in-house production with 3D printing of these guides provides significant benefits to dental professionals such as reduction of delivery times, costs while still conducting procedures with predictable outcomes.

Join Dr. Ahmad Al-Hassiny, BDS (HONS), Director of Institute of Digital Dentistry, to learn about how the digital workflow is structured to include 3D Printing, how to design and print pilot drill guides with the Form 3B+ and Surgical Guide Resin, and the clinical performance in real cases.

What you will learn:

  • The most recent literature concerning guided surgery and how to carry it out properly
  • CAD software options when designing implant guides
  • Digital dentistry in-house workflows, including 3D printing, to fabricate a guide for implant surgery
  • How to prepare guides for printing using PreForm software
  • How the printing and the post-processing process of 3D printed guides actually works in a clinic
  • Delegation to team members - get your staff involved!
  • Demonstration of real clinical cases using surgical guides
